Practice Areas

Estate Planning – Working with my clients to discuss their goals and objectives, and developing, after the conversation, the right documents to support their plans.

Elder Law – Working with clients who may be mildly impaired in cognitive functions.  A diagnosis or MCI, or dementia, or Alzheimer’s does not automatically mean that you cannot make decisions.  That point is nuanced, and I recognize that there is an extended time when families need support, the elder needs attention, and the attorney needs to be thoughtful and supportive.  If we cannot do something today, we can reschedule.  If mornings are better, we can make that work.  I’m here for you, not the other way around.

In case you are wondering, no, I do not practice litigation against nursing homes.  My work is with the families in planning for wealth transfer, and for providing support while our elders age with us.

Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets – Is Bitcoin the next wave of wealth?  Is it just a scam?  The answer really does not matter  – if you own it you need to protect it.  Feel free to discuss your ownership and thoughts about this new asset class, and let me help you plan how it can be part of a robust estate plan.

Veteran’s Compensation and Service Connected Disability – If you are a veteran, and you have filed a claim, and some or all of your claims were denied, we can work together to see if there is a next step.  Sometimes I can help, sometimes I will advise you on how to do it yourself.  Sometimes the VA’s denial is reasonable. There is sometimes a small consultation fee to discuss your case and then we can discuss next steps.

No, I do not help with Pension claims, and usually not with initial filings.  Call for advice and guidance if you have been denied your claim by the VA.
